I couldn’t let these photos languish on my hard drive, so I decided to blog about them.
Duty calls, and sometimes that duty seems to be in vain. Sort of. I have a designer friend, Matt Reedy, who I have worked with on occasion. He had a concept and a client with ideas. The concept was food on a tray, and garden gloves. Where to start? Buy a bunch of nice vegetables and round up some trays. Easy enough. Neither of us are what you would call food photographers, but we staged some different configurations and shot them. The resulting images pleased both of us, but in the end the project went in a more graphical direction. At least the illustrator (Mr. Reedy) had some good source photos to work from.
