I practice photography as a business and a means of expression. The two work well together. Conducting business feeds me physically. Making images stimulates my need to communicate and deliver a viewpoint.
I wear a lot of hats. Photography and art have been interests for a long time now. My primary inspiration comes from the everyday, more importantly my immediate surroundings. I have been living in a subdivision for a few years now and I have taken the time to soak it in and formulate an attachment to how such a place can influence my creative process.

Suburban has become an identity for myself and my work, for better or for worse and I have spent a lot of time contemplating the implications where I am and what I do when I am in my own domestic setting. So, in the context of fine art photography – I take pictures of stuff in my yard. Sometimes I create or capture something that I think is formally pleasing and other times I use objects and surroundings to stage situations that convey a significant routine or activity. I am an environmentalist at heart. I often do things the hard way to make a point about how lazy we have become and what it means to take shortcuts.
I reside in Sun Prairie, WI. I finished my Master of Fine Arts Art UW Madison in 2009. In my short time away from the academic world, I have been busy organizing my next move. I have been seeking collaborations, and pursuing new projects. I also push pixels around for a firm called Archer Geographic.
